If you’re looking for a beautiful waterside pub in the Wiltshire countryside, look no further. The Barge Inn, as the name suggests, sits on the banks of the Kennet & Avon canal in the village of Seend Cleeve, just 10 minutes from Melksham and 15 minutes from Devizes. If you’re on a canal holiday don’t hesitate to schedule in a stop at The Barge and if you’re planning to explore further afield during your visit check out the Wiltshire Heritage Museum and the National Trust village of Lacock.
Spend lazy afternoons relaxing by the water with a well deserved pint or dine alfresco in our pub garden. Our large heated canopy, complete with festoon lighting is the perfect spot whatever the weather. Inside, enjoy the canal views from our large picture windows or relax in the many other comfortable pub and dining spaces. With cosy real fires in the winter and great hospitality all year round, come and enjoy the best Sunday roast, kick back with a pizza, a celebratory meal or simply drinks with friends. For personal or business events we have a semi-private function area you can book. We’re proud to be dog friendly, inclusive for all and have a busy schedule of events for you to enjoy including live music and quiz nights.
